The Schools Division of Santa Rosa City through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), holds the 2nd Division On -the-Spot Poster Making Contest in Agriculture on August 16 at Sinalhan Elementary School.

The above-mentioned activity was spearheaded by Dr. Edwina C. Nabo, Education Program Supervisor in TLE. This annual contest is one of the highlights of the World Food Day (WFD) celebration, in coordination with the Department of Education. This year’s theme, “Our Actions are our Future, Healthy Diets for a # Zero Hunger World.”

Sixteen elementary pupils participated in the competition. The contestants with their coaches arrived early in the contest venue with goal of showcasing their talent in drawing. Public School District Supervisors (PSDSs) namely: Ms. Imelda Lucos, Ms. Joy Castillo, Ms. Rowena Solomon, Ms. Christie Merano and Mr. Sammy Empleo graced the occasion to give support to schools under their supervision.

After a three-hour contest duration, the Board of Judges chaired by Dr. Arnel Amatorio with members Dr. Nida Tagalag and Ms. Teresita Quintos announced the winners. Declared winners were: Zachary Lyle Q. Ultado of Balibago Elementary School garnered the 1st Place with his coach Mr. Omer Fidel; Jairus Kiel Bermundo from Aplaya ES won the 2nd Place with his coach Mr. Rolito Tobias; and Maris Cassandra R. Alon of Dila ES bagged the 3rd Place with her coach Mr. Ranel C. Garceza. Winners and winning coaches were given a certificate of recognition.
